Zonegreen Powered Derailer

Powered derailers are designed to physically protect personnel from unathorised vehicle movement in a maintanence facility. They provide significant advantages in terms of safety and operability over traditional manual derailers.

The powered derailer compromises of a derailer headworks, an actuator, linkage and a controller unit. The controller and actuator are housed in a GRP enclosure. The actuator is insulated from the rail, preventing a current path from the rail to the controller. This allows for different earthing strategies to be employed by the end user. It is possible to operate the powered derailer from a dedicated operator panel or as part of the Zonegreen Depot Personnel Protection  System (DPPS^TM).
